Hi, my name is Angela and I am passionate about dogs! As the greater Charlotte area continues to grow, an increasing number of pet parents call it home. What an honor to contribute to the long-term wellbeing of the furbaby families that I work with. My professional background is advertising and communications;  I am also a published children's author. While these pursuits have brought me enjoyment and success, an irrepressible love for canines - in particular puppies - has always held a special place in my heart. To say I am excited about a career focusing on this life-long passion is a vast understatement! Just picture the look of pure joy, a toothy grin and sparkling eyes! That's me. 

In completing my Dog Trainer certification through Animal Behavior College (ABCDT), I work with puppy play groups and private classes on key socialization skills, temperament assessment and foundational skills. The group classes I co-teach prepare students for the American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, and the Therapy Dog International (TDI) evaluation.

As excited as I am joining Puppy Preparatory to train and socialize puppies setting them up for success, I am equally proud to volunteer and work alongside the amazing and dedicated people at The Humane Society of Charlotte. Their focus is ensuring that every companion animal receives the physical, medical, and emotional care they deserve, as well as creating new, loving families. I enjoy serving as a greeter, dog training assistant, dog walker and special events volunteer.
